There are contrasting reports on the length of time Moussa Sissoko will be sidelined for after the Tottenham midfielder suffered a groin injury against Manchester United on Sunday.

Sissoko limped off just moments before Marcus Rashford scored the only goal of the game at Wembley, consigning Spurs to their sixth defeat of the Premier League season.

According to the London Evening Standard, Sissoko is set for a month on the sidelines, which would be a serious blow to Tottenham.

The Frenchman has been a crucial part of the team this term, and Mousa Dembele’s imminent transfer to the Chinese Super League will leave Spurs even shorter in central midfield.

However, there is some hope. BBC Sport broadcaster James Burford claims he has spoken to Mauricio Pochettino, who says Sissoko only has a small muscle problem.

Pochettino apparently said Sunday’s game at Fulham will come too soon for Sissoko but he should return shortly after the trip to Craven Cottage.

As far as we know, Sissoko will either miss one month or one game – hopefully it’s the latter.
