Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed Napoli are “evaluating” Tottenham Hotspur defender Kieran Trippier ahead of a possible summer move.

Over the weekend, we relayed a report from Italy that claimed Trippier’s wife has been spotted in Naples looking at houses and schools as speculation about a move to Napoli intensifies.

It is believed both Naploli and Manchester United are interested in signing Trippier this summer.

And Ancelotti has now admitted Napoli are keeping tabs on the right-back, as well as reported Spurs target Hirving Lozano.

“All I can say is that they’re both [Trippier and Lozano] players we’re evaluating,” Ancelotti said (via Sky Sports).

“So, to be honest, I can only confirm our appreciation of the player. Now we have to start proceeding with the analysis.”

Lozano impressed for PSV Eindhoven against Tottenham in the Champions League group stages and has been mooted as a potential transfer target for the Londoners.

Trippier remains Mauricio Pochettino’s first-choice right-back at Spurs but his performances have been inconsistent this season, leading to rumours of an exit at the end of the campaign.

It looks like Napoli are definitely interested in the 28-year-old, but his departure may depend on whether Tottenham are able to sign a suitable replacement before the beginning of next season.
