Fulham starlet Ryan Sessegnon would prefer to join Tottenham Hotspur ahead of Manchester United this summer, according to the London Evening Standard.

Sessegnon has been linked with Spurs by several outlets of late. It is believed the Londoners are keen to re-ignite their interest in the teenager they tried to sign last summer but were priced out.

Earlier this month, we relayed reports suggesting Sessegnon is attracting interest from Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus, but the left-back – who can also play further forward – would apparently rather join Tottenham.

The Evening Standard’s report echoes that sentiment, this time claiming Sessegnon will choose Spurs over Manchester United if he is forced to decide between the two clubs.

Fulham are believed to have set a £40 million asking price for the 18-year-old, who turns 19 next week. Tottenham are said to be keen to pay closer to £25 million, so negotiations are likely to be dragged out.

Spurs will be in need of a new left-back if Danny Rose departs, but the England international’s future remains uncertain.
