Barcelona defender Nelson Semedo is considering his future at the club, according to the reports in Spain.

Tottenham Hotspur are likely to be in need of a new right-back this summer, and Semedo could be the ideal candidate.

The former Benfica man joined Barcelona for around £26 million in the summer of 2017 and has been used in rotation with Sergi Roberto since then.

However, Spanish outlet Marca claims Semedo wants to play more often and could consider leaving the club if he isn’t given promises about increased game time.

The 25-year-old came on as a substitute in both legs of the Champions League semi-final against Liverpool and gave Barcelona more drive going forward.

It is believed Spurs could sell Kieran Trippier and Serge Aurier this summer, meaning they will need to buy a replacement.

Semedo has title-winning experience and could still improve under a manager who has developed full-backs impressively in the past.

Mauricio Pochettino surely won’t turn down the chance to sign the Portugal international if the opportunity presents itself.

It will be interesting to see if Barcelona are willing to sell Semedo and how highly they value him.
