Anderlecht are interested in signing Tottenham Hotspur outcast Vincent Janssen this summer, according to reports in Belgium.

Last week we relayed a story suggesting Spurs are finding it difficult to move on Janssen and Georges-Kevin Nkodou this summer because of a lack of takers.

One report even claimed Tottenham had tried to include Janssen in a deal for Fenerbahce starlet Eljif Elmas, which makes sense given Janssen spent the 2017/18 season on loan at the Turkish club.

But Fenerbahce now face competition from another suitor if the latest speculation is to be believed.

Belgian publication Het Laatse Nieuws (via Football Oranje) claims Belgian side Anderlecht have entered the race to sign Janssen.

The 25-year-old has just one year remaining on his contract so it’s likely Spurs will try to sell him this summer, although Anderlecht may favour a loan.

Meanwhile, Dutch outlet Elf Voetbal has mooted Bundesliga club Schalke as another potential destination for Janssen.

It’s difficult to separate the rumours from the truth at this stage, but it looks almost certain Janssen will not be a Spurs player anymore come the end of the transfer window.
