Tottenham Hotspur have made contact with Copenhagen over winger Robert Skov, according to reports in Spain.

Last month we relayed reports suggesting Spurs are interested in the 23-year-old, who scored 24 goals in 26 appearances in the Danish top-flight this season.

Skov found the net 32 times across all competitions in 2018/19, inevitably leading to interest from Europe’s top five leagues.

And now, Spanish outlet El Desmarque claims Tottenham, Wolves and Celta Vigo have all been in touch with Copenhagen regarding the player.

Skov has made his senior debut for the Denmark national team alongside Spurs star Christian Eriksen.

Eriksen’s presence at Spurs could convince to Skov to choose the Londoners, although Eriksen himself could make a big move this summer having been linked with Real Madrid.

Tottenham are said to be close to signing Jack Clarke from Leeds United, so there may be no room in the squad for Skov.

With that in mind, Spurs might end up sending Clarke back to Leeds on loan, or Skov could remain at Copenhagen for another season.

It’s all speculation for now, but it’s certainly exciting to see Tottenham linked with so many promising young players.
