Huddersfield Town are the latest club to register their interest in signing Tottenham and England Under-21 midfielder Josh Onomah.

The 22-year-old was pictured at Craven Cottage on Saturday, watching Fulham’s final pre-season outing against West Ham United.

But according to the Football Insider, the Terriers have held talks with Onomah, who has spent the previous two Championship seasons on loan at Aston Villa and Sheffield Wednesday.

Huddersfield are looking for a replacement for Philip Billing, who joined Premier League side AFC Bournemouth earlier this week – and with Onomah’s future at Tottenham in serious doubt, the transfer would make perfect sense.

The attacking midfielder has not featured for Mauricio Pochettino’s side since April 2017 and was left out of the club’s pre-season tours of Asia and The Audi Cup, which is currently taking place in Munich.

Onomah has been linked with a host of other second-tier sides, including Leeds United and Swansea City.
