As we relayed on Monday morning, former Tottenham striker Fernando Llorente has decided to join Napoli.
The Spaniard became an unlikely fan favourite last season, scoring crucial goals in the Champions League knockout stages against Borussia Dortmund and Manchester City – he also played a vital role in the comeback at Ajax.
After his move to Napoli was officially confirmed, Spurs posted a video tribute to Llorente, thanking him for the ‘unbelievable memories’ he created last year and celebrating some of his best moments.
It’s easy to forget instances like his knockdown for Harry Kane in the 2-1 victory over PSV, a massively important win that helped Tottenham get going in the group stages. Watch below.
