Hugo Lloris and Dele Alli are not in the Tottenham squad to face Leicester City today.

Around half an hour before we received the official team news, PA Sport journalist Jonathan Veal revealed Lloris, Alli and Davinson Sanchez had not traveled to Leicester with the rest of the Spurs squad.

And an hour before kick-off, Spurs gave official confirmation that captain Lloris will not play, with Paulo Gazzaniga stepping in between the sticks.

The Frenchman misses out because his wife has given birth.

Dele Alli has also been left out despite playing for over an hour against Olympiacos in midweek upon his return from a hamstring injury. Sanchez played 90 minutes in Greece.

London Evening Standard journalist Dan Kilpatrick believes Alli and Sanchez have not suffered fresh injuries and are simply being rested.

Ben Davies, Christian Eriksen and Lucas Moura have all dropped to the bench, with Erik Danny Rose, Erik Lamela and Son Heung-min all coming in.

Serge Aurier has also returned to the line-up.
