Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham future is looking uncertain after talks with chairman Daniel Levy, according to the Telegraph.

Spurs have made a dreadful start to the season, winning just three of their 12 Premier League games and suffering embarrassing defeats in multiple competitions, including a Carabao Cup exit at the hands of Colchester United and a record defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

As a result, it is believed Pochettino’s job security was a topic of conversation when the Argentinian met with Levy last week. The Telegraph claims Tottenham’s players are braced for a managerial change, while the chances of Pochettino staying at Spurs for the rest of the season have been deemed ‘increasingly unrealistic’.

The report also reveals Levy would have to pay £12.5 million to sack the man he lured from Southampton five-and-a-half years ago. That fee would be considerably reduced if Pochettino’s departure was agreed mutually.

Jose Mourinho, Carlo Ancelotti, Max Allegri and Eddie Howe are all named as possible replacements in the Telegraph’s story. It could be an interesting week, particularly if Tottenham lose to West Ham United on Saturday.

  1. I have been saying for many weeks that it was only a question of time until Pocc left, was one of the 1st to say so and at the beginning I was heavily criticised by many who now are agreeing with him.
In a way his departure will be a sad day as he has done so
Much for the club and many players in the last 5 years.
However all the good work has been undone by terrible decisions this season and his stubborn attitude giving the impression that he was right and knew better than anyone else when it is forever obvious that that is not the case.
If there was a semblance that he could turn things around then I am sure that we would all agree that he should be given more time, but I rather feel that he turning things round is almost impossible.

  2. Poch has been talking himself out of this job since the start of the season its impacted on the team come on Daniel sort something out release him and bring in one of the top managers out of work or even benetize from China before Christmas and hope spurs can finish top 6
