Heung Min Son continued his sensational 2019 on Saturday by opening the scoring in Tottenham’s 3-2 victory over London rivals West Ham United in Jose Mourinho’s first game in charge.

The inform South Korean already has nine goals in all competitions for the campaign, including four in his last three matches – with his fine solo effort against the Hammers his 19th in total for the calendar year.

Surprisingly, that’s already four more than Harry Kane, albeit the England captain has been out with an ankle injury and then missed the draw with Everton through illness, but it shows the level that Son is currently performing at.

Nine of Son’s 19 goals have been scored in the Premier League, nine in the Champions League – which is more than any other player – with the other came in Spurs’ 7-0 victory in the FA Cup in his first appearance of 2019.

It’s not just goals for Tottenham’s flying winger – he has also added eight assists this year.
