Tottenham forward Heung Min Son has been named as the 2019 Korean Footballer of the Year for a record fourth time.

The 27-year-old, who won the award 2013, 2014 and 2017, overtakes Newcastle United midfielder Ki Sung-Yeung, who had also won it on three previous occasions.

Son has been in sensational form for Spurs in 2019, scoring more goals than any other player at the club, whilst also adding three for South Korea on the international stage.

He played a major part in Tottenham’s remarkable run to the Champions League final, which included two impressive performances in the epic last-eight victory against Manchester City – netting three of Spurs’ four goals over the two legs.

Son has taken his form into the 2019/2020 campaign and is already on double figures for Tottenham this season. One of those ten was that remarkable solo effort against Burnley earlier this month which will no doubt be in the running to win the Premier League’s goal of the season award.
