Tottenham are interested in signing Flamengo midfielder Gerson and Real Madrid forward Vinicius Junior as the January transfer window approaches, according to reports.

With the Brazilian season over, Gerson may be available next month. And according to 90Min, Spurs have held talks with Flamengo over a deal for the midfielder.

The 22-year-old joined Flamengo in the summer from Roma but could be on his way back to Europe. It is believed Tottenham are pushing for a deal to be done in January.

Meanwhile, Spanish outlet El Desmarque claims north London is a potential destination for Vinicius Junior if he decides to leave Real Madrid next summer.

After impressing last season, the 19-year-old has found his game time at the Bernabeu reduced this term and could jump ship at the end of the campaign if his minutes don’t increase.

Spurs, Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal and Wolves are all said to be keen on Vinicius, but the teenager will apparently wait until the summer to make his final decision.

Vinicius would certainly be an exciting addition, though less is known about Gerson. Time will tell if deals for the duo are realistic.
