Heung Min Son has returned to the starting line-up for Tottenham’s FA Cup 3rd Round trip to Championship side Middlesbrough.

The South Korean forward has missed the last three games through suspension after his sending off against Chelsea before Christmas and is one of just three changes Jose Mourinho has made from the New Year’s Day defeat at Southampton last time out.

Eric Dier also starts in a back three alongside Belgian pair Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen – with Serge Aurier and Ryan Sessegnon, who makes his fourth start in succession, the wing-backs.

Harry Winks makes his first appearance since Boxing Day alongside Christian Eriksen in midfield, leaving Dele Alli to join Lucas Moura and Son in attack in a strong-looking Tottenham side.

Starting XI: Gazzaniga, Aurier, Vertonghen, Dier, Alderweireld, Sessegnon, Winks, Eriksen, Alli, Lucas, Son.

Subs: Vorm, Sanchez, Tanganga, Skipp, Lamela, Lo Celso, Parrott.

  1. Alli Dele is the worst player in Spurs team he made mistake 23 times and poor pass 12 times
He has not played well last 3 matches so it is time for Jose to change. Disappoint that jose did not give Troy Parrot chance to take Dele place anytime in second half Dele was terrible in last 20 minutes
