The Tottenham line-up for Saturday’s Premier League London derby against Chelsea has been confirmed.

And the headline news concerns Jan Verontonghen, who is a surprise starter at Stamford Bridge, and Dele Alli, who drops to the bench.

Notably, it looks like Jose Mourinho has gone with a back five that includes FOUR centre-backs.

Serge Aurier is dropped with Japhet Tanganga seemingly coming it at right-back. Vertonghen, Toby Alderweireld and Davinson Sanchez will make up a back three, and Ben Davies is on the left.

Mourinho appears to have gone with a very defensive set-up – Tanganga and Davies are unlikely to be given much licence to get forward.

The midfield is made up of Harry Winks, Tanguy Ndombele and Giovani Lo Celso, while Alli is among the substitutes after a poor display against RB Leipzig on Wednesday.

Lucas Moura and Steven Bergwign will be Spurs’ most advanced players as Mourinho looks for a way to solve the squad’s goal crisis without Harry Kane and Son Heung-min.
