Jose Mourinho has defended his players despite a sub par performance as Tottenham lost at Chelsea on Saturday.

Spurs played without a recognised striker at Stamford Bridge and struggled to create chances, while goals from Olivier Giroud and Marcos Alonso at the other end were enough to secure the points for Chelsea.

Antonio Rudiger’s late own goal wasn’t enough for Mourinho’s men, and the Portuguese bemoaned the team’s lack of firepower after the game while praising his players for doing their best in the circumstances.

  1. Why what do you want him to say? Don’t get me wrong if players are ? maybe now and again you tell them that but the only ? at spurs are Levy and the board for not getting the team the players they need to be able to challange week in and out. No striker but I bet Daniel Levy or the board will worry. Tottenham are run by money men only interested in money not trophies.
    ENIC OUT.

  2. Seriously Spurs needs big change
Ben Davies Dele Ali Jan Vernoghan Eric Dier must go in Summer
Get two strikers, central defender and left back.
Ben Davies has no real skilful left back he plays nothing

  3. Why don’t you just shut up Jose; you are only making matters worse.
It is not your fault the team you inherited is not up to scratch or the injuries we have, but it is your fault not giving Parrott a chance.Just put him in; if it doesn’t work out at least you can’t be blamed for not having tried.JUST PUT HIM IN.

    • So putting parrott in against that Chelsea defence today would have a difference. That is the sort of line Levy loves to hear. If parrott is as good as you make him out to be why oh why did poch not play him either. The truth is at the moment he is not doing it either in training or in his attitude. Do you not think Jose would play him if he was showing the same in training as winks or tangana. Why is skipp making it and parrott not because there is a problem with the player not the manager. You are well named a plonker.

  4. To the very kind “Spursnut d” who has named me a plonker, I am in good company as One,as the majority on the various Spurs fans websites also cannot understand why Parrott has not been given a chance and some game time.
Or is it that every Mourinho decision is the right one?If that is the case, seems rather strange that he has been relieved of his duties twice at Chelsea and at Man Utd – am not sure about Inter Milan and Real Madrid.
