Tottenham have been linked with another goalkeeper. The Londoners are interested in signing Bournemouth’s Aaron Ramsdale this summer, according to the Daily Mail.

Earlier on Friday, we relayed a report from Goal that suggested Spurs could do battle with Chelsea and Barcelona over the signature of Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana.

But the Mail seems to think Jose Mourinho may look closer to home for Hugo Lloris’ successor. The story goes that Tottenham and Chelsea are both considering moves for Ramsdale, who has impressed between the sticks for the Cherries this season.

The 21-year-old has conceded 44 goals and kept four clean sheets in 28 Premier League appearances this term. Spurs put three past him in a 3-2 home victory back in November. The sides were set to meet again at the Vitality Stadium in April, but doubts remain over how much football will be played next month following the Premier League’s coronavirus update.

In any case, there is a good chance Tottenham will pursue a new goalkeeper this summer as Lloris continues to drop clangers semi-regularly. There are, of course other priorities – such as the defence and attack… and midfield – but it will be interesting to see if Ramsdale becomes a genuine target before next season begins.
