Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic will be offered to Tottenham this summer, according to the Mirror.

Jovic caught Madrid’s eye while playing for Eintracht Frankfurt last season. He scored 27 goals across all competitions, earning a big money move to the Bernabeu. However, the Serbian has failed to dislodge Karim Benzema as Real’s first-choice striker, scoring just two goals in 24 appearances since moving to the Spanish capital.

And now, the Mirror claims there has been a falling out between club and player after Jovic flew home to Serbia last week. The squad was supposed to be self-isolating because of the ongoing coronavirus crisis, and so Jovic was forced to apologise for ignoring the quarantine.

As a result, Jovic will apparently be offered to Spurs and Chelsea in the next transfer window.

Tottenham are in desperate need of a new striker with no deputy for Harry Kane in the squad. Son Heung-min’s injury has further exposed the current group’s lack of goals in recent weeks.

Whether Jovic is deemed good enough after making a difficult start to life in Spain is up for debate.
