Tottenham are interested in signing Kalidou Koulibaly but the Napoli defender isn’t keen to join the Londoners, according to reports in Italy.

Koulibaly is among the most talented centre-backs in Europe and has been consistently linked with a move away from Napoli over the last few years.

Italian outlet Calcio Mercato claims Napoli want £100 million for Koulibaly but will have to settle for less if they sell him this summer. The story suggests the likes of Liverpool, Barcelona and Real Madrid are all fond of the 28-year-old.

It is understood Spurs, Everton and Newcastle United are also eager to acquire his services. However, Calcio Mercato reports that those those clubs are ‘not so attractive’ to Koulibaly – his quality means he is likely to prefer a move to a Champions League club.

Of course, Tottenham still have the opportunity to finish in the top four if and when the Premier League season resumes, but it will be difficult if Jose Mourinho’s men do not improve.

With that in mind, we can’t see Koulibably playing his football in north London next term.
