Tottenham have offered Barcelona the chance to sign defender Juan Foyth – with the La Liga giants reportedly considering a move for the out of favour Argentine, according to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo.
Foyth hasn’t played for Spurs since being hooked at half-time against Norwich City in December – when the centre-back made a costly error which allowed the Canaries to take the lead. He hasn’t even been named in a matchday squad since the game at Carrow Road.
His only other appearance under Jose Mourinho came the Champions League group stage match against Bayern Munich back in December. Foyth did receive high praise from the Tottenham boss that evening, but doesn’t look to be in the Portuguese’s plans moving forward.
And now, remarkably, Barcelona, who have also been linked with Tanguy Ndombele in recent weeks, are interested in bringing the 22-year-old to the Nou Camp this summer.
The report suggests that Barca could get Foyth on the cheap, but face competition from both River Plate and Boca Juniors.
Do you think Tottenham should keep Foyth beyond this summer? Let us know your thoughts below.
