One of the success stories of Tottenham’s season has been Japhet Tanganga, who has played a starring role in defence since Jose Mourinho came in as manager.
Tanganga was thrown into the deep end when Mourinho handed the young centre-back his Premier League debut against Liverpool. Despite ending up on the wrong end of a 1-0 scoreline, the 21-year-old impressed in his first top-flight appearance.
Speaking to David Beckham about his debut in a feature video produced by the club, Tanganga revealed he was suffering with cramp from early in the second half onwards and was unsure if he would be able to complete the full 90 minutes.
