Heung Min Son’s sensational solo effort against Burnley has been named as Match of the Day’s Goal of the Season.

Son’s goal, which came in Tottenham’s 5-0 victory over the Claret’s back in December, was voted in the top-three along with Antony Martial’s chip against Watford and Kevin De Bruyne’s thunderbolt against Newcastle after an initial list of ten goals were shortlisted.

It was then down to Ian Wright and the Premier League’s all-time top goalscorer Alan Shearer to pick a winner.

Despite his Arsenal connections, Wright didn’t hesitate in voting the South Korean’s effort, whilst unsurprisingly, the former Newcastle United striker agreed.

Son is the second Spurs player to win the award after Dele Alli’s memorable strike against Crystal Palace in 2016.

For good measure, why not take one last look at the goal below.
