Norwich City, Bournemouth and Watford were relegated from the Premier League on Sunday, leaving a number of high-quality players with uncertain futures.
Indeed, it feels like more good players than usual were relegated this season, with all three of those clubs possessing talented footballers destined to make an immediate return to the top-flight.
So should Tottenham be in for any of them?
Bournemouth’s Callum Wilson might be a logical target. According to the Sun, Spurs are plotting a £10 million move 28-year-old striker, who would make an ideal deputy for Harry Kane.
In terms of other Bournemouth stars, David Brooks is a talented young midfielder who could yet improve, while Spurs were linked with goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale by the Daily Mail just last week. Nathan Ake would be a fine addition at centre-back too, but the Guardian think he’s off to Manchester City.
As for Watford, Abdoulaye Doucoure would add depth to Tottenham’s midfield, while 22-year-old winger Ismaila Sarr impressed in his debut Premier League season.
Despite coming bottom of the table, Norwich arguably possess the most players of interested. Max Aarons, Emi Buendia, Todd Cantwell, Ben Godfrey and Teemu Pukki might all be of interest to a club like Spurs, although Aarons and Pukki’s form has dropped off in recent months.

It’s ok saying we should buy these players cause we can get them now on the cheap which will suit Daniel Levy no end but the truth is they were all relegated and they were relegated for a reason, they simply aren’t good enough, Spurs should be aiming much higher than these players, we shouldn’t let the likes of Levy talk us into accepting that type of quality, we should be demanding top quality players if we truly want to win anything soon.
We have a billionaire owner that has never backed the squad, It’s time for Lewis to back Mourinho or sell to someone who will, we’ve had near on 20 years of ENIC and all we have to show on the trophy front is a League Cup early on in their tenure, for a club like Spurs that is simply not good enough, Levy should have been sacked years ago on that record.
Totally agree Tony. We need owners who are ambitious on the football side and not in lining their own pockets.
we have known for some time about the need for a right back and all we hear is that our youngsters are not good enough — clearly they need game time to improve and we have five youg ones who could step up to the plate next season if the management would stand by them and give them regular games — indeed when you look at the quality of those we bought i feel that had trust been placed in our youth then we would be no worse off and could be looking to the new season with five extra battle hardened warriors

Also somehow I don’t believe we will give youth a chance.With 5 substitutes from 9 being allowed to come on since the restart, the situation was perfect for giving some game time to some “of these fine youngsters”, but Mourinho didn’t even come close.
It is all very well saying that Sessegnon could be the new Ashley Cole,that he thinks Skipp is a fantastic player and he very much likes Cirkin, but words are cheap.
We will need a miracle to get near to the top 4 next season.
I agree with most but not on the point that there is a reason these players are being relegated. Players like Brooks, Ake, Cantwell and Godfrey have the potential to be very good players and can be when surrounded by quality international players like Spurs have. When you are working in that environment you have a far better chance to improve and become a far better player than when you are in a squad of players of lesser overall quality. I am not having a go at those clubs who have been relegated but that’s the reality and difference between the top and bottom 6, quality coaching, quality players and quality systems
