Milan Skriniar is eager to leave Inter Milan for Tottenham, according to Football London.

Earlier this week, we relayed a Di Marzio story that claimed Spurs have opened talks with Skriniar. The report suggested Inter value the defender at €60 million (around £55 million).

Now, Football London believes Inter’s valuation is actually only £45 million – but Tottenham apparently want to pay even less than that.

The report claims Spurs are willing to pay £32 million plus add-ons for the centre-back, which is significantly less than Inter’s price tag.

Tottenham’s pursuit of Skriniar might be helped by the fact he seemingly wants to join the Londoners. Football London says the 25-year-old is ‘very keen’ on the move.

At the beginning of the season it looked like Jose Mourinho was happy with his centre-back situation. Toby Alderweireld, Eric Dier and Davinson Sanchez were all battling for two places, while Japhet Tanganga – when he returns from injury – can provide back-up.

But Mourinho can’t seem to decide on his best pairing, and so the addition of Skriniar will add extra competition and quality.

  1. Maybe we can sell Sanchez and his potential- all his potentials to be caught out of position upfield looking the back field. Let me say this, there is only one Pique. i have never seen a central defender chase the opposition more than he does. Well, kyle walker and Serge are wingbacks.
