The draw has been made for the Europa League first knockout round, meaning Tottenham now know their Round of 32 opponents.
Spurs topped their group with four wins, one defeat and a draw, crucially beating Royal Antwerp in the final game to make sure they weren’t seeded for the knockout draw.
With Tottenham and Arsenal both being London clubs, both are seeded and Spurs will play their home tie on Wednesday 24 January to avoid a clash with the Gunners.
But who will Jose Mourinho’s side be up against?
Tottenham were the second team out of the hat and will play Austrian side Wolfsberger.
Wolfsberger, who are usually simply known as Wolfsberg, are currently seventh in the Austrian Bundesliga, so Spurs will be big favourites to progress.
The away leg will take place first on Thursday 18 February before the home leg the following week.
It will be interesting to see how Mourinho approaches the tie in terms of team selection – will he continue to select fringe players or will the likes of Hugo Lloris and Harry Kane be handed starts?
One thing is for certain: Tottenham will have to improve on their group stage performances if they are to go far in the Europa League this term.
