Tottenham face Brentford in what could be a deceptively tricky Carabao Cup semi-final on Tuesday night.

And with the fixtures coming thick and fast in multiple competitions, Jose Mourinho has a number of decisions to make regarding his team selection.

We think the Spurs boss will make five changes to the XI that started Saturday’s 3-0 victory over Leeds United in the Premier League.

Hugo Lloris played in the quarter-final against Stoke City and so will almost certainly get the nod over Joe Hart between the sticks.

Davinson Sanchez should come in at centre-back to partner Eric Dier, while the suspended Matt Doherty will be replaced by Serge Aurier, and Sergio Reguilon might return on the left.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Moussa Sissoko will probably be the midfield pairing, providing support for what could be a front four.

With Tanguy Ndombele likely to be rested, Steven Bergwijn could fill that central attacking midfield role, joining Lucas Moura, Son Heung-min and Harry Kane in advanced areas.

Erik Lamela, Giovani Lo Celso and Gareth Bale have all been ruled out by Mourinho.

Here’s our predicted XI to face Brentford – what’s yours? Let us know in the comments section below.

    • Rather Toby play than bloody Dier. Got the passing ability of a rhino with two left feet. Sanchez is just as bad which I why we desperately need Rodon to play in Prem, FACup and EL and a top CB in this month. Stick Tanganga next to Toby.

  1. May play Dele if Ndombz is rested, certainly not Bergwijn as CAM. Not sure why Reguilon and not Davies. Tanganga over Aurier is another option.
