Lucas Moura’s first Premier League goal since September wasn’t enough to prevent Tottenham from slipping to a sixth defeat in eight matches in all competitions.
Jose Mourinho’s side found themselves 2-0 down following goals at the start of each half from Michail Antonio and Jesse Lingard, but it was an impressive near-post header from the Brazilian, who guided Gareth Bale’s corner into the top-corner.
Harry Kane, Heung Min Son and Bale, who struck the crossbar, all came close to levelling for Spurs, but the Mourinho’s men slipped to their fifth Premier League defeat of 2021 to leave them 9th.
