Ajax will attempt to sign Tottenham winger Steven Bergwijn this summer, according to reports in the Netherlands.
Bergwijn joined Spurs from Ajax’s Eredivisie rivals PSV Eindhoven for £27 million (via BBC Sport) in January 2020.
After a good start, the Holland international struggled for minutes and form this season, though he returned to the starting line-up under Ryan Mason late in the campaign.
But Tottenham’s resolve could be tested this summer if new reports are to be believed.
Dutch football journalist Mike Verweij – speaking on Telegraaf Podcast (a podcast from the Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf) – recently revealed Ajax will make efforts to take Bergwijn back to the Netherlands this summer (as relayed by @AllAboutAjax).
Verweij claims Ajax want to pay €15 million (about £12.9m) for the 23-year-old but Spurs are apparently asking for €25 million (about £21.5m).
Either way, the Londoners may have to be willing to take a bit of a hit on Bergwijn as it seems unlikely they will recoup the full £27 million they paid for him.
In our opinion, we think he should be given another season to prove himself under a new manager.
100% should stay. He has the quality to be a Premier League great.
The issue last season was José tried to turn him into a defensive winger to allow Regulion to attack.
Just my opinion but if we switched to 343 made some decent signings esp if Kane does go then we’d have a great balanced team, something a little like:

Nah, i think he needs to move on, maybe a loan spell somewhere but I think unless poch or Ten Hag can work absolute magic with him, then he’s currently not good enough for first team and would rot on our bench as he has done so far. Looks like Kane and Aurier will probably move on.
Our line up next season should look like:

Leo Dubois, Alderweireld, Pau Torres, Reguilon
Bissouma, Hojbjerg
Matheus Pereira, Dele, Son
Vinicius
Tanganga, Sessegnon, Dier, Skipp, NDombele, Lo Celso and Lamela can all be solid quality tactical options or players open to improvement under poch, possibly Foyth aswell if not sold.
Ndombele and Lo Celso are top top players but neither look defensively sound enough to hold the box to box role in a big game and ndombele seriously lacks energy and fitness. I think aswell as vertonghen being forced out, box to box has been a key weakness of our defensive set up. The centrebacks are not the only line of defence and we need energy and composure at box to box. Bissouma looks top drawer and should be someone we are looking at, or perhaps Gravenberch or Bellingham.
We need a proper left footed, right side advanced creative midfielder. Matheus Pereira looks the best bet, west brom are relegated and he should be our number 1 target.
Sanchez needs a loan somewhere that can guarantee him regular first team football, so does Rodon. I think its too soon to write either off as neither have really had a run in the team but centrebacks develop from playing and go stale on the bench. Sanchez has definitely went stale on our bench but could still be a top centreback with some confidence and intelligence from a good loan spell.
Winks, sissoko, doherty, lucas, bergwijn, davies and hart (cant play sweeper) could move on.
I love Bale but not 100% sure he would suit poch due to age and energy requirements. Im also not sure how toby and poch would get along, perhaps toby would be happy to see poch back after 18months of jose.

Why are you targeting mediocre signings? If Kane goes we need to ask for Laporte, Walker and Jesus in return. Henderson should be signed as well.
