Danny Ings is Tottenham’s top summer target, according to the Telegraph.

With Carlos Vinicius returning to Benfica following his unsuccessful loan spell at Spurs last season, Nuno Espirito Santo is going to need to find a replacement.

And the Telegraph believe that the Tottenham hierarchy are making the Southampton striker their priority this window, and want him to play alongside Harry Kane despite uncertainty surrounding his own future.

Spurs have tried to sign Ings previously, although they could now get him for around just £20m, with less than one-year left on his current Southampton deal.

Ings has proven himself as one of the most lethal strikers in the Premier League in recent years, netting 34 times across the last two seasons – seven fewer than Kane.

The report believes that Santo could opt to go with two strikers next term, which could therefore see Kane and Ings, teammates at international level, leading the line for Santo’s new look Tottenham outfit in 2021-2022.
