Joe Hart is in talks with Celtic over a move to Parkhead, according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano.

The 34-year-old was only signed 12 months ago by Jose Mourinho, but isn’t expected to be part of Nuno Espirito Santo’s plans following the loan arrival of Pierluigi Gollini from Atalanta.

Hart appeared 10 times in the Europa League and Carabao Cup last season, and started the recent pre-season friendly at Leyton Orient.

However, Hart wasn’t involved against Colchester last Wednesday and is therefore unlikely to feature at MK Dons tonight, which would suggest that his exit is drawing ever closer.

And the reliable Romano believes that the Scottish giants, who’re desperately looking for an established goalkeeper, have opened talks with Tottenham, with negotiations ongoing.

Whilst Hart was believed to have been a huge voice in the dressing room, he was barely trusted on the pitch by Mourinho, and will be a loss Santo can deal with quite comfortably.
