Galatasaray have made an offer to sign Japhet Tanganga, according to Sky Sports.
Since being handed his Premier League debut and then becoming a regular part of the first-team under Jose Mourinho in 2020, the versatile defender hasn’t been able to gain any momentum due to several different injuries.
Thigh and shoulder problems forced the 22-year-old to miss 19 matches in all competitions last season, restricting the youngster to an extremely frustrating 13 appearances.
Tanganga has proved himself as more than capable enough to play anywhere across the back four during his career, and impressed at right-back at Manchester City in February.
And with Tottenham offloading defenders at a frequent rate, Tanganga might see a chance for a regular starting-place in Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.
However, Sky Sports believe that both Spurs and Tanganga are considering Galatasaray’s loan bid, but aren’t in any rush to decide his future.
With Santo not exactly overloaded with defensive players, and a UEFA Conference League campaign just around the corner, we believe that he should only be allowed to leave to a Premier League club.
