Harry Kane will not train with his Tottenham teammates until Thursday because he is isolating at Hotspur Way’s lodge, according to Football London’s Alasdair Gold.

The striker has been strongly linked with a move to Manchester City, and earlier this week he released a statement denying suggestions he has refused to return to Spurs training.

Instead, Kane says he was always due to go back to Tottenham on Saturday, and it seems he has now indeed returned.

However, Gold – always reliable when it comes to Spurs – says Kane is training alone because he is isolating following his holiday.

Gold claims Kane is staying at The Lodge, the building in which players are accommodated at Hotspur Way, Tottenham’s training ground.

While there, the 28-year-old can train individually but will not be able to rejoin his teammates until his period of isolation is over on Thursday.

That means Kane is unlikely to play any part in Spurs’ Premier League opener against Manchester City on Sunday.

All of which culminates in a frustrating start to the season for both Tottenham and Kane – hopefully things can be resolved quickly.

  1. I do hope Daniel Levy doesn’t let Kane leave this late in the window, how the hell are we supposed to do the deals needed to replace Harry and improve the other positions we need to with under a week to go? We need another centre back, right back, attacking midfielder and another striker even if Kane stays. I wonder how short we are going to be left this summer by Levy, ENIC and tight fisted Lewis? We need to out these three ASAP.

  2. Unbelievable Mr Borg, or then is it? Kane has given everything over many years and yet this is how you repay him. You’re no better than Levy and the rest of them, just bloody selfish!!
You go Kane and get the trophies you so justly deserve. I wish you all the very best, now and always and thank you for all the hard work and goals!!! And to all you selfish morons, just shut up! Tottenham will never win trophies until Levy has gone. The only one constant during the barren years and all the different Managers, is Levy. It’s a no brainer, all those different Managers can’t all have been useless. Ta dah! Still until the Board and Shareholders grow some brains and balls and decide they want to be part of a Great club, then Tottenham will remain a ‘Wannabe’ club. Tottenham deserves to lose Kane
