Tottenham are keen on signing Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma, according to Sky Sports.

Nuno Espirito Santo has already added Cristian Romero, who made his debut against Man City on Sunday, to his squad, but is still hoping to bring in another defender before the window closes later this month.

Sky Sports had previously reported that Spurs were chasing Fiorentina centre-back Nikola Milenkovic after failing to secure a deal for versatile Bologna defender Takehiro Tomiyasu.

And the same outlet now believe Santo has turned his attentions to Zouma, who was an unused substitute in Chelsea’s opening day win over Crystal, and been rarely used since the arrival of Thomas Tuchel.

West Ham have also been interested in the Frenchman, who wants to remain in London – with Chelsea setting an asking-price of £25m for his services.

But whilst a player with Premier League experience would be a smart decision from Spurs, doing business with Chelsea is another matter, making the deal an unlikely one to happen.
