Tottenham are open to selling Joe Rodon for around £20m this month, according to CBS Sports.

The Welshman was one of four players signed permanently by Jose Mourinho in the summer of 2020, but just like Joe Hart and Matt Doherty, it hasn’t worked out for the ex-Swansea man.

Rodon hasn’t featured in the Premier League since September and has started just once under Antonio Conte, against Mura in the Europa Conference League. That could change when Spurs travel to Chelsea in the Carabao Cup, but it’s been another frustrating season for the centre-back.

Newcastle are leading the race to sign Rodon this month, although the richest club in the world face competition from Brighton, who are manager by his former boss at Swansea, Graham Potter.

Tottenham signed Rodon for around £11m, but CBS Sports believe they’re now demanding around double that, which would be too high for Newcastle, although they would be willing to negotiate a potential loan deal.
