Cristian Romero announced his return to action with a measured display against Brighton on Saturday.

Tottenham’s Argentine defender hasn’t played since tearing his hamstring while playing for his country back in November, but made his comeback in the FA Cup fourth round tie.

Despite not playing for three months, it took Romero little time to get back into the groove.

The centre-back misplaced just one of his 35 attempted passes, made the most ball recoveries (9) and the most clearances (5) in his 77 minutes on the pitch.

Below, you can see some of his best moments from the game.

  1. Romero played vert well and solid but Spurs still need solid Central defender to play alongside to cease the defence problem
Spurs really need right back because Royal and Doherty are low standard

  2. Agree with James but he is better defender than Sanchez and Tanguay
Spurs still need new Central defender ti cease problem anyway
Spurs should buy Bissouma last week

  3. Bissouma, at one point, did a pose. He stood next to Bentacur and there it was, right there.. our future midfield. No more whizzing nothings from winksy or occasional thrusty but light weight output from Hojberg. But instead two expert tacklers, dribblers , hounders and passers of the ball. Yep, I saw the future! With real talent, conte can show his true exceptionalism potential as spurs coach, as being a real winner full stop. Even Royale is coming good.
