Tottenham’s Vlad Chiriches has been ruled out of Romania’s World Cup qualifier with Greece later this week after being substituted during the club’s 1-0 defeat at home to Newcastle. The defender was withdrawn at half time during the loss and head coach Andre Villas-Boas confirmed later that he had suffered a suspected broken nose.

As yet there is no confirmation from the club as to how long Vlad is expected to stay on the sidelines but Spurs now have a break until the 24th of November when they tackle Manchester City at The Etihad. Could we have another masked player at the Lane or will AVB switch to one of the obvious replacements?

How much of a blow could this potentially be? Would you prefer to see Younes Kaboul take over on a regular basis?

  1. Chiriches injury not big issue but tatitcs are big problem spure need to back on one touch counter attaking style but need some player LWB,LW,ST,CAM,CM marco veretti, juan mata, chicarito hernandez, hulk, fabio contrao

    • tactis tottally confused by avb the bloke is clueless two holding midfieldser and one striker up front thats how to win games and please the fans

      • You are clueless. Firstly you don’t understand a simple formation. Secondly there aren’t ever two defensive midfielders in the side we started with Paulinho and Dembele so there were actually none. Unless you have been on mars Spurs have been winning matches with that system all season. Winning pleases intelligent fans.

  2. IF I WAS LEVY AVB WOULD NOT GET A PENNY THE BLOKES TACTICS ARE A TOTAL JOKE FUCKING CLUELESS NO PROPER LEFT BACK AT THE CLUB PAULINHO GREAT PLAYER BUT TO SLOW MOVING THE BALL HE WAS TO BLAME FOR THE GOAL TOWNSEND ONE TRICK PONY SOLDADO HAS HAD NO SERVICE ALL SEASON.
NEED TO PLAY 2 UP TOP SOLDADO AND LEMELA AND TWO WIDE PLAYER WHO DONT KEEP CUTTING INSIDE

    • His tactics are spot on and have led to Spurs making their best ever start to a premiere league season! Spurs have won more games and kept more clean sheets than any other Spurs sides in since the prem began.

No top side plays 2 up top we aren’t in the 80’s. It won’t happen.

  3. I see from the vast majority of comments on the various websites and speaking to fellow supporters that we are all bewildered by AVB’s tactics, formation etc….It didn’t take Cheatski long to realise that they had a lemon of a manager.Over to you Daniel Levy.
Michael Laudrup would be an excellent option and I feel the untried combination of Tim Sherwod with Steffen Freund would be worth a try, 2 ex Spurs players who know, understand the club and who would listen to the supporters. The biggest problem with AVB is that he is stubborn, living in a different world and thinks that only he knows what to do.A clever man would realise that not nearly all the Spurs fans are wrong.

    • The only people that are bewildered are the simple minded like yourself that are even considering a managerial change. Statistically AVB is only second to Bill Nick!

Listen to the supporters? WTF he is getting more points per game than every manager we have ever had bar one and you feel he is doing something wrong and should listen to idiots like yourself? Utter madness.
