Some reports suggest that Porto midfielder Joao Moutinho remains as Spurs’ number one priority in January but could the failure to secure the player’s signature in August see the club miss out?

Tottenham had reportedly made a £22 million pound bid which was accepted by Porto but time simply ran out on the transfer as the clock ticked past the window.

Rumours of a return for Moutinho’s signature have surfaced at regular intervals in the weeks since but stories are now claiming that Super-Rich French outfit Paris Saint Germain have entered the race.

Predictably, the quoted fee has already risen to £26m and with the promise of huge wage packets and instant Champions League football, there’s surely only one way that this transfer can go  – if these stories are to be believed.

  1. Instant CL football?
PSG could be out of the competition by January!
If Moutinho is coming to Spurs in January then the deal is already done. There wont be any negotiations or auctions involving other clubs.
However if its not already a done deal I doubt we’ll get him.

  2. i don’t care, is he really that special??
We’ve got Parker, Hudd, Dembele, Gylfi, Dempsey, Sandro all playing in central midfield areas. Livermore as back-up with Carroll coming through.
Not sure who, if anyone, we should buy but surely it’s not another central midfielder

    • Hudd is rubbish now and Livermore needs to fucking do one the useless cunt. Moutinho would be an amazing signing for us along with Willian and Damiao.

  4. I have a feeling Moutinho won’t happen now. As you say his price tag will rise by January. Not sure how special he is either? There may be other cheaper playmakers that AVB will know about…

  5. spanish players seem to do very well in the prem league and are a touch of class like cazorla silva mata so i think we should try get iker munian or isco in january
