While Andros Townsend grabbed all the headlines this weekend, another young Spurs midfielder continues to impress and at this stage of his career, it looks as if 20 year old Alex Pritchard has a bright future. During the last international break we reported on Alex after he scored a stunning free kick for Swindon against MK Dons but his effort against Rotherham on Saturday was even better.

Pritchard opened the scoring in the 4-0 victory before former Spur Massimo Luongo doubled the lead. The rout was completed in the second half and after the match, Robins boss Mark Cooper praised his loan man.

“Pritchard’s goal was a piece of individual skill and we know that’s something he has got in the locker,” Cooper said.

“It was something like we expect from him and he showed what he’s about. He was really really good as were the rest of the team.”

Here are highlights from the game with Pritchard’s goal at around the 43 second mark if you aren’t too fussed about Swindon’s league one campaign…
