Paris Saint-Germain have emerged as contenders to sign Tottenham target Ryan Sessegnon this summer, according to reports in France.

Sessegnon, still only 17, has been a sensation since breaking into the Fulham first-team last season – he has scored 14 goals in the Championship this term.

The teenager initially plied his trade as a left-back, but he has been more effective on the wing lately.

He recently praised Fulham manager Slavisa Jokanovic for playing him higher up the pitch, something he thinks is responsible for his fine goalscoring form.

Last month, reports emerged claiming Spurs are willing to pay £35 million to sign Sessegnon despite suggestions the player would rather join Liverpool.

However, more recent reports contend he has his heart set on Tottenham due to Mauricio Pochettino’s track record of developing young English players.

But if fresh rumours coming out France are to be believed, another suitor could scupper Spurs’ chances of signing Sessegnon.

French outlet L’Equipe (via Sport Witness) claims PSG want to make Sessegnon their new left-back.

Of course, the 17-year-old may reject a move to the Ligue 1 champions if they would be unwilling to play him in a more advanced position.

Regardless, there’s going to be an interesting battle for Sessegnon this summer.
