Considering Spurs signed Nacer Chadli more than 24 hours ago, it’s a surprise that there aren’t more stories linking Aaron Lennon with a move away from the club. It is possible of course that the versatile Belgian will line up alongside Lennon and Bale with Aaron the only inflexible player of the three.

However, the growth in the squad, along with the promise of more new faces before the transfer window closes, suggests that the midfield must be shorn with Tom Huddlestone and Scott Parker the main names in the exit frame.

Hudd has been linked with a departure since the start of the month with Fulham and Sunderland still thought to be interested while rumours that Scott was surplus to requirements began before the 2012-13 season came to a close.

QPR were mentioned but their drop into the Championship makes Loftus Road an unlikely destination in a year when the player is looking at getting back into the England squad ahead of the 2014 World Cup.

Previous club West Ham had been briefly linked but the possibility of a return to Upton Park has grown after Hammers’ co-owner David Sullivan said he “would love to have Scott Parker back if there is room on the wage bill”.

Scott’s future at White Hart Lane hasn’t directly been affected by the arrival of Paulinho and Chadli but it’s inconceivable that the 32 year old will be first choice ahead of Sandro in central midfield. With the squad growing ahead of the new campaign, should Parker be the first to leave?

  1. In my opinion, we are sorted at the back, 4 CB’s, along with rose and BAE, as well as Naughton and Walker.

    Midfeild –
I want Hudd Scotty and Jake to go,. Unfortunately, its a lot easier typed than done! –

    This would still leave:
    Sandro
    Paulihnio
    Dembele
    Carroll
    Holtby
    Sigurdson
    All 6 for midfield!

Upfront, you could argue that we are OK, not a particularly popular view after the last 4 frustrating years when we havent replaced Berba, but,.

    Chadli
    Lennon
    Townsend
(Sigurdson/Holtby can both deputise on wings)
    Dempsey,
    Defoe,
    Adebyor,
AND BALE ..If he can take to playing with his back to goal the way he has the free role do we only need to look any further than under our noses for a CF?! – Hes only 24 (?) and can jump as well as hold off defenders.

Propbably not really ideal, but we just may not shift everyone this window,.

As I said, if we managed to shift Livermore Parker Hudd our midfield would be streamlined and hungry.
Also, if we could shift Dempsey and Ade, we would then have made room for this striker, the hunt for which, after 6 consecutive windows, is now beyond a farce.
