1982 – On this day in 1982, Tottenham were in action against Barcelona in the first leg of the European Cup Winners’ Cup semi-final at White Hart Lane. 1992 – Spurs beat Notts Couty 2-0 at Meadow Lane as Gary Lineker scored twice in what would be his last season at Tottenham.
