There was no action for the first team this weekend but there were plenty of run outs for the loanees and three were on target for their host clubs.

Andros Townsend has made a promising start to life at Millwall and scored in their 3-0 win over Burnley that keeps them in the hunt for promotion. Elsewhere, Kyle Naughton scored his fifth goal for Leicester, but pride of place goes to Paul Jose M’Poku with a stunning 30-yard effort that rescued a point for Leyton Orient against Oldham.

M’Poku is clearly hoping that his spell at Brisbane Road will attract the attention of Tim Sherwood and the rest of the coaching staff at White Hart Lane.

“Tim simply told me, ‘Go over there, show them what you can do and continue to do what you have been doing in the reserves,’ said the player.

“He felt I was ready to play first team football and get some experience and that is what I am doing.”
