If the transfer rumours aren’t talking about the next striker to walk through the door at White Hart Lane, they’re linking us with goalkeepers to replace Heurelho Gomes and the latest of these is 25 year old Zeljko Brkic.

Brkic currently plays his football in Italy but after joining Udinese in the summer, he was immediately sent out on loan to Siena and it is thought that his parent club would be willing to cash in if the right offer were to materialise.

Brkic has 5 international caps and is battling to make the Serbian number one jersey his own. As far as Spurs are concerned, he seems to tick all our boxes in that he is young enough to keep the bench warm until Brad Friedel retires before stepping in to make the goalkeeping slot his own.

We can expect more keepers to be linked with the club in the coming weeks but Zeljko Brkic is one of the best we’ve seen so far.
