We’ve gone past the mid-way point in this winter’s transfer window and as yet there’s little sign of movement into or out of White Hart Lane. It’s looking like it could be a repeat of last year’s quiet January and for now, rumours linking two of Tottenham’s fringe squad have been denied.

Vedran Corluka has hardly featured for the first team all season yet when asked if the Croatian would be sold in this window, Harry Redknapp answered with an emphatic ‘no’. Recently there have been reports of a move to Juventus but these have now been denied by the player’s agent.

“I am aware of the news about Corluka’s possible move to Juventus, but they are just rumours around the player,” said Arthur Vuksanha.

“In any case, well for the moment at least, he will not be going to Juve.”

Meanwhile, Jermain Defoe has denied reports that he is unhappy at the club and dismissed suggestions that he could be on his way to Liverpool.

‘At the end of the day, it’s not a case of me saying “I want to go here, I’m not playing,I want to leave the club,” Defoe said.” I’ve been here six years, I’ve never said that once. I think the fans know that. It’s just a case of me playing.

Defoe hints as some extreme frustration but for this window at least, it seems as though he is going nowhere.

  1. Of course defoe, Kranche, etc. want to go. Harry plays the same players over and over until someone breaks down. HR’s rotation policy = replacing injured players. Ade has been missing sitters over the past 6 games and still won’t start defoe.

    • Defoe has already publicly stated on national TV that there is absolutely no chance of him leaving Tottenham when asked about rumours of him leaving in January.
