It’s widely expected that Louis Saha will make his Spurs bow this evening as there are injury doubts concerning Jermain Defoe, Rafael van der Vaart and Emmanuel Adebayor. However, these are only doubts and as we’ve seen before this season, these worries have a habit of failing to materialise.

Speaking at the end of last week, assistant Kevin Bond gave us a round up of Tottenham’s injury issues,

“Aaron and Jermain are being treated, both are extremely doubtful for Monday but obviously we’ll give them every chance,” Bond said.

“The medical staff are working hard to see if they can get them there.”

“Rafa went off with a calf strain and it’s a bit early to say what his prospects are for Monday. Kyle Walker should be fine.”

With Walker fit the back five is likely to be unchanged and there is just the one question mark in midfield where Lennon is struggling to make it.

Up front, Louis Saha could conceivably be our only fit striker if Ade, JD and VDV are all ruled out and with Pav gone, the only other forward named in the 25 man squad is Simon Dawkins.

As an alternative, Harry could go with a 5 man midfield and just a lone striker but this is how we think the team will look at the start – what do you think?

  1. Friedel
    Walker Kaboul Ledders Benny

    Sandro Parker

    Modric
    Kranjcar Bale
    Ade

Give Niko and Bale freedom to roam around. Have Saha and Livermore ready to come off the bench if needed. Sorted.

  2. Toughie… Id start with Sandro for this (if fit)

    Team would be:

    Friedel
    Walker,King,Kaboul,BAE
    Parker,Sandro
    VDV,Modric,Bale
    Ade(or)Saha

  3. Just watch the failure to sign what we need and making the squad weaker in th January transfer window come back and bite us in the bollox!

    • Stop bitching, you girl. I hate Spurs fans like you. We’re 3rd in the prem, by 6 points! There was no one that would of vastly improved us to sign in January. Let me guess, you would of broke the bank for Tevez or you would of signed Mr I want a divorce Samba, when he’s no better that what we have you dougnut.

It would of been a big risk to let Harry make a big money signing, especially as everyone knows, he won’t be our manager next season. What we have is enough for the rest of the season.

Be happy with where we are and get behind the team for tonight, COYS!

  4. Friedel
    Walker King Dawson B.A.E
    Kranjcar Parker Modric Bale
    Saha Adebayor

I would not play Sandro wide… loses our shape. However, Sandro and Parker holding, Mods running the middle of the park, ask BEA and Walker to get forward in wide attacking positions and give Bale and VdV if fit or Gio free roles with Adebayor or Saha up front… and play Carragher up front for us if we can as he has scored as many times for us as he has for Liverpool

  5. Friedel
    Walker King Dawson bae
    kranjcar Parker Sandro Bale
    modric
    Adebayor/saha (if ade isn’t fit)

Sub Gio in for sandro if we need a goal. Modric down in middle and Gio and Kranjcar playing either the RM and OM places.

  6. If the Adebayor-Kaboul-VdV-Defoe injury rumours are true, I’d go for…

    Friedel
    Walker ~ Dawson ~ King ~ Benny
    Sandro ~ Parker
    Gio/Kranjcar ~ Modric ~ Bale
    Saha

    If not, I’d go for…

    Friedel
    Walker ~ Kaboul ~ King ~ Benny
    Kranjcar ~ Parker ~ Modric ~ Bale
    VdV
    Adebayor

  7. Goal – Friedel
Defence – Walker, Dawson, King, Ekotto
Midfield – Kranjcar/Livermore, Sandro, Parker, Bale
    Forwards – Modric, Saha

Can’t see any other side if rumoured injuries all correct.

  8. Hello fellow Spurs friends.
I am getting ready to get out, gonna watch the game in a pub down here in Cape Town.
Are we playing in the light blue or the white jerseys tonight?
    Thx
    Roger

    Ps: COYS
