Any list of potential transfer targets for Spurs is likely to be lengthened or increased depending on where the club finishes in the league at the end of the season. Predictably however, this hasn’t stopped any of the rumour mills from continuing to gossip.
Arjen Robben is one man who has arguably been mentioned in connection with a more to the Lane on more occasions than his compatriot Klaas-Jan Huntelaar. The latest rumour can probably be put to bed now after the Dutchman’s latest comments.
Asked if he wanted to play in another country, Robben said,
“No, actually I don’t. I’m not somebody who plans the future, I just dream.
“In the past, I’ve learned that you can’t plan too far ahead. So I’ll wait to see how things go in the next few years. I feel in a good place at Bayern and, as I say, I have already played at some really nice clubs.
“I’m very happy here because Bayern is so well-organised. It’s the biggest club in Germany and has a lot of prestige in Europe and worldwide.”
Bayern are in with a chance of a Champions League final and Robben has been a key to their success. It’s unlikely therefore that either party will be interested in a transfer anytime soon.
