When sentences begin with the words ‘Sky Sports understands’ it seems to imply that we are all supposed to sit up and take notice. On many occasions however, the story that follows comes to nothing in the same way that much of the paper talk does.

Yesterday, Sky reported that Tottenham were ready to make a bid for Udinese midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah in an attempt to snap up the Ghanaian ahead of a host of other clubs that had expressed an interest.

Including an initial loan spell, the player has been at Udinese for the last 4 years and at 23, he is regarded as one of the best prospects around at the moment. With 41 caps for Ghana included, he has experience too and it’s thought that £10m will be required to secure Asamoah’s services.

Whether Sky understands if any of this is true remains to be seen but where exactly would Kwadwo Asamoah slot in at the Lane?

Never heard of him. Let’s snap him up. £10m is a bargain. The new Essien. Go get him Levy just for a laugh, we need a Kwadwo. You can never have enough kwadwos. Lovely jubbly everyone’s a winner

  2. He’s a fine player & we could do a lot worse, the only thing is African Cup of Nations is on next yr again & Ghana are likely to go far in it, I doubt the story is true, he’s more likely to move within Italy.
I heard a rumour we were offered Dani Parejo for 8ml could be good replacement for modric if It’s true.
