Spurs face an away trip to Southampton this weekend and look a cracking bet at 1.85 with William Hill to come away with
all three points.
The Saints currently sit third bottom in the league, and have let in 24 goals in 8 games this season – the most in the top flight.
There is little doubt that they are one of the worst sides in the league and face a massive uphill struggle to avoid relegation.
Spurs, on the other hand, have proved themselves among the four or five best in the Premiership, and have averaged more than two goals a game on the road.
They managed to beat Manchester United 3-2 at Old Trafford, and a similar performance would be more than good enough to give them victory in this encounter.
They do come into the game on the back of a 4-2 defeat to Chelsea, but Gareth Bale was absent that day and will be back for this.
The Welshman is a key player and a potent threat in front of goal and looks decent value at 8 withLadbrokes to net the opener.
He can also be backed at 3 with Blue Square and Ladbrokes to get on the scoresheet during the 90 minutes and that looks well worth a wager in a game where plenty of goals could be on the cards.
Over 2.5 looks a gimme at 1.57 with Coral and Ladbrokes, while over 3.5 with at 2.38 with Betfred also looks worth considering.
I can see Spurs winning this 4-0 or 4-1, and would suggest split stakes on both if you like to play the correct score market.
The former is a 34 chance with Blue Square, while the latter is priced up at 29 – also with Blue Square.
