Reports arising from the Metro newspaper suggest that Spurs are preparing a summer bid for Celta Vigo striker Iago Aspas. The 25 year old has been with the La Liga side for his entire career but it’s thought that Spurs and Chelsea are chasing the player with a view to triggering his £8.3 million buy out clause.

The story goes on to suggest that Spurs will offer Iago Falque as part of the deal. Our 23 year old midfielder is currently on loan At Almeria where he has made just three full appearances since leaving in January.

Many have high hopes for Falque but if he is to leave the club, is Aspas the right man to bring in? The forward has a ratio equating to around one goal in three – a record that has resulted in no recognition at International level.

It looks almost inevitable that Spurs will be in for a striker in the summer but many will hope that Iago Aspas isn’t the one.

  2. I’d take Iago Aspas and give them Iago Falque on loan, if they’re still in La Liga at the end of the season…

I’d actually bite their hand off at that price, he’s quality.

  3. Wish you could edit old posts lol, but he’s rated fourth best striker in La Liga for his overall play by WhoScored after the main culprits.
