Spurs have a good record against Southampton and look worthy odds-on shots at a top priced 1.5 with Ladbrokes and William Hill to further enhance it with victory over them at White Hat Lane.

The Lilywhites have won nine and lost just two of their 11 previous league home games against the Saints.

They also come into the game knowing that only 3 points will suffice if they are to maintain their push for a top four finish, and in Gareth Bale have a player who is in top form and capable of causing their defence all sorts of problems.

The Welshman has scored in the his last three league games, and will be relishing the prospect of taking on his former club – especially as the Saints have selection problems at right back which mean that Frazer Richardson, who has made just two brief sub appearances in the best part of six months, could well be in the starting XI.

Indeed, Bale broke the deadlock when Spurs won 2-1 at St Mary’s earlier in the season and at 4.5 with Ladbrokes and Paddy Power he looks good value to repeat the dose.

He can also be backed at a standout 1.91 with William Hill to net anytime, and that looks huge given that he is generally a 1.73 shot to do so.

Both teams to score also looks well worth a wager at 1.83 with bet365 given that it has been the case in 25 of Spurs’ league games this season and they have now gone nine Premier League games without a clean sheet.

Overall though I fancy Spurs to win this with a bit to spare and like the look of a 3-1 win in the correct score market at odds of 12 with bet365.
